When Choosing a Realtor as a Luxury Property Buyer

In the exclusive areas of south Florida like Palm Beach, Manalapan, Gulf Stream, Ocean Ridge, East Delray Beach, and Hypoluxo, the realtor you choose to assist you when buying luxury property is more important than you may realize.

In the upscale market, being shown homes that are in your price range is just a small part of the responsibility of an agent. A good realtor wants to sell you a home, but as a top professional I want you to be totally satisfied after the purchase, knowing that the home you bought was the best possible choice.

You may be new to an area and not aware of some of the less attractive aspects that exist, even in the luxury home market.  My background and experience mean that I can provide you with the insights about homes on the market on private drives versus a through street, and I’ll give you my opinion as to why that may be an important consideration.

As a prospective buyer looking for waterfront or property with access for boating, it’s also important for me to be open and honest with you and to inform you upfront if the water access and surrounding areas of a particular home also provides sufficient depth for the type of boat you own, the channels and bridges wide and high enough at varying times and tides to accommodate your specific watercraft. Being a very knowledgeable realtor I’m familiar with these issues and will make you aware of them before you fall in love with the property and may be less than fully satisfied your decision later.

The bottom line is that being a top professional in real estate requires that I do much more than just show and sell homes.  For me, it’s about building client relationships with the elements of honesty, integrity and trust at the foundation of our working together.

As one of Palm Beach County’s top professionals, I’ve built my career and reputation on those foundational principles. My approach isn’t about “pushing” the sale of a home, but on fully understanding what’s truly important to you, the buyer.

If I personally wouldn’t buy or live in a home that a client has asked me to show, I’ll say so and explain why.  The reasons can range from the asking price being too high for the comparative value or neighborhood of the property, to issues you may not think of immediately such as water access or other major concerns like the quality of area schools.
