Delray Beach is an eventful city, and by that we mean there’s always something going on. It’s happy, it’s lively, it’s packed with the kind of people who clearly love the lives they’re living. The city stretches from its gorgeous (and surfer-worthy) Atlantic beaches, over the Intracoastal Waterway, and through a walkable downtown, all the way to a refuge on the edge of the Everglades. The 60,000 people who live in the city proper enjoy Florida at its best, spending lazy days at cafés and boutiques downtown and along the beach, fishing in the ocean and estuaries, biking and hiking, or kayaking and paddleboarding. It’s also a town mad for tennis and other outdoor sports. The lifestyle is laid-back tropical, the dress is casual, and the community is warm and always on the go — though sometimes that’s just going to find a nice spot of shade and a big patch of sand.
